BlackBerry Gold XXL Summer ‘26
Quote from Cmftrblynmb on April 23, 2026, 2:09 pmWeek 4 - I did some low stress training the night before last. This morning you can see the new growth on the lower nodes that wouldn’t have got that light otherwise.
I show what they looked like before I bent them over, two different ways of training them, and then what they looked like this morning.
When I look at them tonight, I may take the ties off for a day or two to let them gain a little more height and then bend them over again. I’ll play that by ear.

I saw a few spots that looked like something was chewing on a couple of leaves but I couldn’t see anything with the loupe. I sprayed some insecticidal soap right before lights out. One of these has been topped, but not on purpose lol. When I checked on them the next day, the top had snapped.
I have included a close up. I don’t know if this is telling me anything yet, but I think it is too early for what I think I am looking for. If you know otherwise, let me know.

Seem to be happy this morning.
Uploaded files:Quote from Cmftrblynmb on May 9, 2026, 12:39 amWeek 6 - I took off most of the biggest fan leaves from the main stalk and topped the four that hadn’t broke. I think I have some wind burn from the little fans, a couple of them had a few ugly leaves about where the fan was blowing. I can’t see any bugs but I’ll pay attention and see what happens.
I do have several of the lower branches nearly reaching the top. I think these will be fine if I decide to scrog them or bush them out either way.

- Week 9 - I cut one male and put it in my worm bin. One female is in the scrog all the way to the right, I replaced a male plant. The rest of the scrog has been in flower for about a week longer than the Blackberry Gold. The other three on the floor are BBG, I think two females and one male but I will know for sure in a couple days.

Quote from Cmftrblynmb on June 7, 2026, 6:41 pmWeek 10 - one more male went to the worm bin. These two ladies will live on a self watering base on the floor of the grow room, and the one in the scrog makes three females and two males of the original five. I did germinate a 6th but killed it off by letting the wind beat it up outside. I was hoping for three, so it has worked out.
